Great results in Tvedestrand

With three Strømøy Racing drivers on the podium in today´s Norwegian Cup race in Tvedestrand we can safely say it was a successful first race for our drivers. Joakim Halvorsen climbed all the way to the top in F4, Nikolay Holtan-Andersen and Tobias Munthe-Kaas both were 2nd in their class.
The day started perfect for our three podium finishers as they all got pole position in the early morning´s qualifying session. Nikolay won his first heat in GT15 and was 2nd and 3rd in the following heats. This gave him an overall 2nd and a very good start of the new season.
Marius Strand had a brand new boat for this race and was 4th in all three heats and also in the overall. The new boat seems to be handling a lot better, but for sure it needs more testing before Marius has the speed to hit the podium. All in all Marius is on a positive note after today's racing.
In GT30 Live S. Gulbrandsen struggled a bit in the qualifying, but drove agressively and climbed positions. She finished in 3rd after three heats, but was later disqualified due to a technical infringement. The tough young lady is already eager to start the next race.
Joakim Halvorsen was untouchable in F4 today and won in style the two first heats. When third heat got cancelled due to strong winds, Joakim could climb to the top of the podium and pick up valuable points in the Norwegian Cup. Joakim will race in the World Championship Series this year and this first race gave some good answers to this winter´s work.
In F2 Tobias Munthe-Kaas was the fastest on the water and won the first heat. In the following heat he had a small problem in the start and had to see Christian Carlsen leaving him at the jetty. For the rest of that heat and the next Tobias was chasing Christian without being able to pass. Tobias ended 2nd in F2.
All in all a great day for our drivers and team. The race was run in a sunny Tvedestrand with summertemperature. A huge thanks to Tvedestrand Racingclub that organized a perfect event!
