Norwegian owned Energima Racing is ready for a new challenge. One week before the start of the 2025 UIM Xcat Offshore World Championship in Fujairah UAE, the team now confirms their participation. The two drivers will be Offshore World Champion Erik Sundblad Johansen and F1 H2O driver Marit Strømøy. Team Owner Arild Magnussen is the team's 3rd driver. - We´ve put together a team that I know will be very strong already in the first season. It's been my wish for many years to have Erik and Marit in the same boat. The beauty and the beast. Now it's happening, says Team Owner Arild Magnussen.

Erik Sundblad Johansen is one of the most experienced drivers in the field. He started offshore racing in 1987. In 2024 he finished 2nd in the World Championship in Xcat for Swecat Racing. The energetic powerboatracer is eager to start off the season in an all Norwegian team. - I'm excited for the season ahead, with two powerhouse teammates joining me on the water! I am thrilled to be teaming up with none other than Marit Strømøy, a fearless and highly skilled racer from the world of circuit F1, as she makes the jump into offshore racing. Also joining me this year is Arild Magnussen, a skilled and determined racer whom I've been racing with in class 3D and who has a lot of experience from car racing. With these two racers by my side, I couldn't be more excited for the season ahead, says Erik Sundblad Johansen.

Marit Strømøy has been racing for more than 35 years in circuit racing. She is currently the only female racer in F1 and has been a trailblazer for international powerboating for decades. This is her debut in X-cat and this year she´ll be racing in three World Championship Series. F1, E1 and X-cat.  - Offshore and inshore are quite different, but I'm no stranger to the speeds of the X-Cat. I really look forward to working with Arild and Erik. They are ambitious and go all in on all their projects. Erik has a lot to teach me about offshore racing and I look forward to taking on another task, says Marit Strømøy, who is preparing for a busy season of 18 World Championship races.

The team has a brand new boat in production, but for the first race in Fujairah they will race in a rented boat. The championship consists of four rounds with two races at every venue. - It´s not ideal that our boat is not finished yet, but we aim to take valuable points in the first round and start the championship on a high, says Team Manager Lars Graver.
